Maureen Smith Leads NHHA Meeting on Hazardous Waste Pharmaceuticals
Jun 17, 2016Maureen Smith, shareholder at Orr & Reno and Chair of the firm’s Energy & Environmental Practice Group, was the lead presenter during the New Hampshire Hospital Association’s NH Hospitals for a Healthy Environment meeting held June 16 at the NHHA headquarters in Concord.
Smith and Katy Ward, an environmental compliance consultant for Aries Engineering of Concord, discussed the Environmental Protection Agency’s proposed rule regarding management standards for hazardous waste pharmaceuticals, government inspections, enforcement actions and confidentiality issues.
The meeting was attended by hospital and pharmacy representatives, as well as state and federal officials.
