Experience

Josh is a member of the litigation department. He has an active trial practice in the state superior and district courts, the family division courts, and the immigration court in Boston. Josh also represents clients before the federal district court and bankruptcy court.

In law school, Josh served as Articles Editor for the Pittsburgh Journal of Environmental and Public Health Law and earned semester honors. He won the Sutin Prize in recognition of his service as Senior Editor of JURIST, the legal news and research website of the Pittsburgh School of Law. Josh worked at the firm as a summer associate and interned with U.S. District Judge Joy F. Conti of the Western District of Pennsylvania while attending law school.

Case Highlights

  • In a premises liability jury trial, obtained a defense verdict of no liability on behalf of the property owner.
  • In a breach of contract action, successfully recovered damages following a successful bench trial on behalf of a small business owner.
  • Obtained defense verdicts in products liability actions brought against a national department store and a national automotive distributor.
  • Along with James P. Bassett, obtained a landmark decision from the Rockingham Superior Court recognizing that an abutting neighbor to a property protected by a conservation easement did not have standing to enforce the easement.
  • Represented individuals in divorce, guardianship, child support adjustment, and parental responsibility cases.
  • Represented individuals in removal proceedings in immigration court.
